27 years of experience in training dogs.
At the age of 11 my parents asked me to make my first big decision. Football or dogsport? Did I know then that this decision would have such impact on the rest of my life?
With my first dog, the Shetland Sheepdog "RIKA", I started competing in obedience and agility. Since then I have trained and competed with German Shepherds, Bouviers and Malinois in Obedience, Agility, Belgian Ring and Mondioring. As years went by my interest turned completely to Ringsport. With 3 dogs I managed to train and compete in the highest level of Belgian Ring, even with 5 dogs in the highest level of Mondioring. In both discipilines I could get qualified for many national and world championships where I achieved several podium places.
21 years of decoy experience.
After I switched to Ringsport it didn't took long until I was certified as decoy in Belgian Ring and Mondioring. From the start I was blessed to be guided and educated by experienced judges and decoys like Jos Helsen, Steve Seynhaeve and Jan de Groof. They did not just educate me, they also provided their dogs for my training. Their work payed off and helped me to accomplish my biggest dream: decoying competitions and even championships.
